SINGAPORE: To commemorate Singapore’s 50th year of independence next year, a 3D montage of sketches and graphics will light up the facade of the iconic Fullerton Hotel Singapore starting from Friday (Dec 26).
爲了紀念新加坡建國50周年，從12月26日起，3D蒙太奇將點亮新加坡浮爾頓酒店！
The public can enjoy the two-minute projection every half hour from 8.15pm to 11.15pm till Dec 30. The montage will depict the country’s transformation from its early kampung days to presentday Singapore with its modern housing and city skyscrapers. The projection will be accompanied by an excerpt of Symphonic Suites – with familiar local tunes like Home and Bunga Sayang.
即日起至12月30日，市民可以在每天晚上8：30-11：15，欣賞每半小時一場的兩分鍾投影。這次的蒙太奇將描繪新加坡從早期的甘榜到目前高樓林立的現代化都市的轉型。並將伴隨交響組樂節選片段，讓市民重溫熟悉的當地樂曲，如《家》和《美麗的花》。
The final run of the lights show will beat 11.55pm on New Year’s Eve. It will culminate in a two-minute show of fivekey historical milestones of Singapore. These include then-Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew declaring Singapore’s independence, the start of National Service and the introduction of public housing.
壓軸投影將于12月31日11.55pm播放，並在兩分鍾內展示新加坡曆史上五個關鍵的裏程碑，其中包括總理李光耀宣布新加坡的獨立，國家服務的啓動和政府組屋計劃的推出。
Mr Clarence Yap, Head of Music at The Esplanade, said: “We would like people to reflect on the journey that Singapore has taken. We hope it will help people to think about the Singapore story. For this year especially, the narrative is important, so it is not just about putting pretty pictures and lights but very much about telling something that can evoke emotions and feelings for the subject matter,” Mr Yap added.
濱海藝術中心音樂系主任Mr Clarence Yap在采訪中提到：“我們希望人們能夠回想新加坡這一路走來的旅程，這將有助于人們思考新加坡的曆史。在今年特別的是，我們以敘事的方式來呈現這一重要的時刻，不只是把漂亮的圖片和燈光拼湊在一起，而是使用喚起大家情感的題材。”
