2019年8月3日最新消息，政府大廈大草場、加文納橋、安德遜橋和埃爾金橋將被列爲新加坡國家古迹啦！
政府大廈前的大草場（The Padang），早在1822年就已存在。在英殖民時代，這裏是運動賽場和舉辦節慶集會的地方。
大草場見證了許多新加坡重大曆史事件。1966年，新加坡建國後的首個國慶慶典就在這裏舉行。新加坡曾經發行的飛鳥系列錢幣1塊錢背面，記錄了當時在大草場的盛況。

平時，也會有很多人在這裏野餐聚會、放風筝……
除了政府大廈大草坪，今天被列爲國家名勝古迹的，還有新加坡河沿岸的三座橋。
