Singapore and Indonesia has one common thing in their unification strategy that prevented the mistake that was done by Malaysia: They didn’t make the language of their majority population as their main language.
Singapore choose English, while Indonesian choose Bahasa Indonesia (which is basically localized Malay).

Bahasa Malaysia is still the main language in Malaysia. The problem is that Malaysia allowed other education streams to exist like Chinese schools. Imo if everyone went through the same education system, like what happens in Singapore, the people aren’t going to be so divided by race.
