Which country would you recommend? And why? Iwant to go backpacking for 1 month. It is my first time, and I want to do it as cheap as possible. I would love to have a nice local experience, and not go to a place full with tourists/travelers.

I”d highly recommend visiting the Czech Republic. I have visited the Czech Republic three times and absolutely love the country. Every city in the Czech Republic is magical. It seems unreal walking down the streets and seeing all the beautiful colourful architecture. The people of the Czech Republic are really friendly and stop to help the tourists if needed. I have experienced this quite a couple of times when I seemed lost someone stopped to ask if everything was alright and whether I needed directions.

Depends where you come from as you need to see something different from your home region, also depends on your interest and budget.
So if you”re from North America, Australia, Europe,
go to Asia. Thailand is good value, and has reasonable infrastructure and unique culture.
If you”re from South America, Africa, Asia, go to Europe. Prague, capital of Check Republic (next to Germany) is 600 year old, and has architecture not bombed in the war. The old town square, Charles bridge, the cathedral is just the start, get yourself lost in this great city.

Here”s the thing, apart from visa fee everything in this country is dirty cheap. Major places are well connected and the roads are well maintained. The places are immaculately clean and safe. And this was my biggest surprise. The natural beauty is amazing. The people were neither friendly nor rude. I think the impact of Buddhism gives them a feeling of aloofness. All in all I throughly recommend you to visit laos.

The answer would depend on the number of days that you want to spend,the budget and the personal preferences. It would also depend upon the season there at that time.
If you have 15 days or so , a few countries in Europe( such as Switzerland, Germany and Paris or Bruges) can be covered well and there is also an option of Australia ( Melbourne, Sydney, Gold Coast and Great barrier Reef) for the same duration.
Scandinavia also offers a good choice for about 10 days.
For a Short holiday say about 5–6 days Singapore is one of the best options.
